Saint-Georges and Royan
Colinette is located in the neighbourhood of Vallières, 100 m from the beach of Royan, 2,5 km from Saint-Georges and 3 Km from the centre of Royan.
The closest stores (bookstore, tobacco store, pharmacy, grocery store...) are 600 m away, in the park of Royan close to Vallières.
Located in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne but opening onto the beach of Royan, Vallières is a residential neighbourhood composed of small houses built under a canopy of pine trees. To the south, the neighbourhood is surrounded by the cliffs leading to the lighthouse, and to the beach and the small municipality of Saint-Georges. The cliffs form natural creeks allowing private tanning. At three kilometres to the north, following the beach, you can find the centre of Royan.

This small beach resort dedicated to tourism wants, before all, to maintain its village character. The protection of the environment and the production of quality performances are among its important concerns. Saint-Georges is afforded a magnificent beach with fine sand, about 4 km long. The Pine Forest of Suzac and its cliffs to the south along with the cliffs of Vallières bookend this superb sandy spread and assure great safety for children.
There is a high number of activities offered; hence, the nautical base and the sports centre welcome visitors all year with a sauna, a health room, sailing, windsurfing, kites…
![]() ![]() The Pavillon Bleu (Blue Pavilion) is a hallmark representing an exemplary environmental quality. It recognizes and prizes municipalities and harbours responding to criteria of excellence for their global management of the environment. Obtaining the Pavillon Bleu requires the examination of several criteria such as water management, waste management as well as general environment. Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, including the North and South Conche as well as Vallières, first received the label Pavillon Bleu in 1997. It received it again in 2007.
Royan was, at the beginning of the 20th Century, a famous beach resort town. It gained its reputation thanks to its large sandy beaches and its many holiday spots. Today, Royan offers many aquatic activities as well as many other sports and, of course, its famous thalassotherapy spa.
The Central Market of Royan, built in 1955, looks like an upside-down shell. You will find stalls upon stalls of fresh regional products. The market is entirely covered.
The Boardwalk follows the naturally crescent-shape of the beach. You can walk sheltered from the weather while discovering its bars, restaurants, and souvenirs shops.
![]() The Harbour of Royan is anchored in the centre of the city. It’s the third largest leisure harbour of the Atlantic coast. You can go for a walk, admire magnificent sailboats, and even talk a sailboat on the ocean. Cruises along the coast, to the Cordouan Lighthouse and the Pointe de Grave are accessible from the harbour.
